2021: A Greenr Journey

Please note: this blog post was written before our rebrand from our original name (Greenr) to Canopey so if you read the title above and were a little bit confused, that's why!

As 2021 draws to a close we want to thank you for being with us on the start of our journey building the UK's sustainable shopping platform.

We're currently in the process of building the platform thanks to a raft of grant and investment money. We're SO excited to begin showing you Greenr 1.0!

Exciting milestones

🗓 We started sharing the Greenr story on social media back in June

💌 A month later we had our Greenr landing page live along with this email newsletter

📣 More than 2,000 of you have already become followers on our journey

💰 We've raised £10k in grants and even more from a friends and family investment round

We've covered everything from how we picked our name, to the sustainable paint industry, the world's first second-hand shopping centre, a series of our recommended Christmas gift ideas, and much much more.

A final 2021 announcement

We've very pleased to be welcoming a brilliant new member to the founding team: Emma Andrews, our new Chief Technical Officer. 🎉

Emma is a talented developer currently working as a Software Engineer in the leisure industry. She is an alumni of Silicon Valley's prestigious Lambda School of development and has a background in EdTech.

Emma has already been working hard to supe up our landing page and will be helping guide the development of the Greenr platform over the next few months.

We're so excited to start showing you this progress soon!
