We want to make it easier for everyone to shop more ethically and become a platform that educates people on sustainability issues so they can learn how to create the change they want to see. Our vision is to make sustainable living, living.

Meet the Canopey crew

We've been working in government, global NGOs, universities, and environmental charities for years.

We know what the problems are and we’re tired of waiting for change to happen. So we’re launching Canopey.com, to be the change we want to see.

CEO & sustainability expert

Thomas Panton

Thomas is CEO and resident sustainability veteran, having worked in the industry for a decade with organisations like Greenpeace UK and Surfers Against Sewage. As a previous startup founder, Climate Change MSc student, and LinkedIn Top Green Voice, Thomas is our lucky volunteer when it comes to speaking at events.

CMO & master of words

Hugo Douglas-Deane

Hugo leads on marketing, having worked in Government communications and publishing for a number of years. He’s worked on all sorts of campaigns including multi-million pound EU-funded projects and environmental schemes. His biggest task at the moment is trying to get to grips with TikTok.

CTO & hacker supreme

Emma Andrews

Emma is a developer and foster mum to a revolving cast of dogs. She has a broad background, from startups to teaching. She is an alumni of Silicon Valley’s prestigious Bloom Institute where she honed her skills to become Canopey's master developer. When something goes wrong, Emma is who we’ll be sweet-talking.

Business & Finance Intern

Nadiah Arif

Nadiah is a Climate Finance MSc student at Imperial College London. She works as a Sustainability Consultant for Zend Worldwide Limited, and Sustainability Writer for Key ESG. Previous roles include Creative Editor for Norwich Economic Papers and the creator and co-host of the educational podcast The Topic. Nadiah's sustainability skills and understanding of economic theory mean she schools us on the daily.

Design & Digital Intern

Hana Barnes

Hana is a Marketing Assistant at KOKO and freelance graphic designer working in the music industry. She is Creative Director for Wild Paths Festival, and has spent the last few years developing their climate change and diversity commitments. Hana makes us look good – literally! She has helped us develop the Canopey brand and the way we do marketing.
